It’s Friday, my favourite day. Despite the gloomy, chilly “Spring” we have experienced in the northeast of the United States this year, I like to think that bluer and warmer skies to come are just around the corner. To mark the coming summer, I thought I would share with you some music that, for me, strongly evokes the season in the hope of warmer days ahead in all senses. I restricted myself to full albums which means some of my all-time favourite “summer” songs - “Spill the Wine” by Eric Burdon and War, "Sketch for Summer" by Durutti Column, “Technova (Lá Em Copacabana)” by Towa Tei , “Summer Madness” by Kool & The Gang, “Ice Cream” by Raekwon, etc - didn’t make the cut this time.
