Hard to believe, but 25 July marks:

- 458th anniversary of founding of Caracas

- 127th anniversary of U.S. invasion of Puerto Rico

- 72nd anniversary of Puerto Rico's constitution

- 52nd anniversary on earth of yours truly

At this time two years ago, there was no guarantee I would make it to see this birthday and who knows what the future holds, but I'm thankful for all the years of ocean spray, rustling palm fronds, glasses of wine and cups of coffee at tableside cafés, candlelight dinners, sunsplashed mornings, books to be read, languages to learn, songs to be sung, stories to tell, streets cats and dogs to care for and lovely companionship to be enjoyed. Every joy and every sorrow is stirred up in the banquet of life's rich pageant. Thanks for being in my life and on to adventures as yet unknown
